This is a pair of nice sized fluorite crystals from the Rogerly mine. Ideal for either individual gift giving, or working with them in grids. The weight is of both crystals combined, and the measurements are of the largest fluorite.

I first came across this gorgeous green fluorite on my trip to England and lamented that there was only one. So you can just imagine how thrilled I was thrilled to find a nice lot of them at a trade show. England has a special place in my heart, and I was delighted to find minerals mined there. These beautiful specimens are from the Rogerly mine, near the northern coast of England in Weardale. The bright emerald green hues are what first attracted me to this beautiful fluorite. However researching the mineral I discovered that the fluorite fluoresces blue in daylight and sure enough the crystals turn a beautiful deep blue color. The crystals that we picked up show blue highlights at the crystals edges; however the most highly prized specimens will turn all blue in the sunlight. Despite the cold climes from where the crystals are from, the energy of this fluorite is warm and lush. It centers deep in the heart chakra promoting harmony and flexibility. It helps you to resolve past emotional shocks that you have put away to deal with later, gently bringing them to the surface to find a resolution, especially dealing with unresolved anger. Its energy nurtures the heart center encouraging growth. Physically it supports the liver and gall bladder.

Fluorite is a stable mineral of calcium fluorite, which displays with a wide range of colors most commonly occurring in purple, green, blue, pink, and yellow. Due to this wide color range it has incredible flexibility when working on the physical body. It mostly commonly forms in cubes crystals, but forms in other multisided crystals such as dodecahedrons. It often displays fantastic color zoning with multiple colors occurring in a specimen, often displaying phantom like formations. Fluorite often has awesome transparency, allowing the specimens to glow like jewels in the light. However fluorite is sensitive to bright light, so avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. Many fluorites are fluorescent, and the phenomenon is named for this beautiful mineral. It is a relatively soft stone, although somewhat brittle, which makes it easy to polish into many shapes.

Fluorite is a versatile healer. Clearing negativity and infection it is an excellent choice for fighting off colds and flu. It also helps to strengthen bones and teeth, helping to repair the physical structure. In addition, fluorite can help dissolve arthritis crystals, especially purple fluorite. Its energy excels at the crown chakra bringing the mind into balance. It helps to dispel confusion and instability to foster coherent patterns. It also aids in concentration and memory.
