Citrine is the beautiful cousin golden cousin of quartz. Most commonly citrine is found in Brazil or Africa, however these beautiful crystals come from Hiddenite, North Carolina. These crystals are also known as Golden Azeztulite. These mines are better known for their deposits of emeralds, hiddenite, garnets and many precious and semi-precious gemstones. Our Springfield trip turned up some of the beautiful citrine crystals found in this area. They have a beautiful gold color and some lightbrary formations. The crystals have a high degree of self-healing, with hundreds of small etched faces shimmering in the light.
They are bright teachers, leading you to explore your inner depths to better understand yourself. They walk you through your anxieties and fears helping you to overcome them. With touches of golden healer their energy heals both the physical and emotional bodies. They help to reverse the damage of negative words and actions that leave you traumatized and shatter your self-confidence. Their bright energies bolster your confidence, helping you to tackle the challenges ahead of you. Their energy provides balance, picking you up when you are at a low point, or bringing you back to earth when you are feeling scattered. These companions are amazing healers of the spirit.
This warm citrine crystal is just covered in self healing. All over the base and up the sides, intricate and delicate formations glimmer in the light. The healings are so finely detailed, they'd be a delight to explore with a loupe. A bit of black matrix still clings to the base. The termination is no less finely detailed, and in several places it's hard to tell where the transition from shaft to face is. On one face, a three-dimensional record keeper towers above a small field of etched triangles. Two tiny growths spring from the point like reverse scepters. This is an intriguing crystal that you'll spend hours exploring.
A crystal is considered self healed when a partial piece of crystal or a complete crystal has sustained damage, yet continues to grow afterwards. Self-healing comes in many guises, usually where a crystal has been severed from its original growing condition, but can also occur where crystals have been bumped and bruised too. A self-healed crystal can be identified by the intricate etchings and/or multiple faces which emerge from the damaged areas. These crystals aid in any type of self-healing—physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual. Self-Healed crystals are highly compassionate with exceptional support for those working to overcome strong emotional issues or traumas. In addition they provide support when working to let go of negative addictions, be it a behavior, a person, or belief, food or chemical.
A crystal that has pyramidal or triangular shaped symbols that are either engraved into or are raised on one or more of a crystal faces is called a Record Keeper (RK) or Recorder. These symbols are not easily seen and usually need to be searched out by looking at the crystal in a bright light while closely examining the faces. It is believed that the Record Keeper is one of the most sacred crystals because it holds the wisdom and knowledge of the universe. When a person is properly attuned to a Record Keeper, this knowledge is readily made available. This knowledge is ancient knowledge and contains profound secrets and esoteric knowledge of the whole of the Higher Consciousness. It takes an open mind and a pure heart to access this knowledge.
Natural citrine has long been one of our favorites of the quartz world. Iron inclusions in the quartz formations give rise to beautiful hues of yellow to yellow gold. This desirable color is often imitated by heat treating amethyst, which gives a more orange hue to the crystals. Natural citrine stimulates the solar plexus and crown chakras assisting one to bring higher vibrational energies into the physical body. It can give you an energetic pick up at any time by placing at your solar plexus and breathing deeply for a few minutes. Visualizing bright white energy streaming into your solar plexus will boost its effect. The warmth of citrine has a soothing effect that counters anxiety and stress. Personally, I use citrine in conjunction with labradorite to help keep panic/anxiety attacks at bay.
Citrine is also known as the "Merchant's Stone". It is quite helpful in acquiring and maintaining wealth. It is an excellent stone for clearing the aura and for aligning the auric body with the physical structure, diminishing the "muddy" areas in both the aura and the physical body. It can act to stabilize the emotions, to dispel anger, and to encourage one to "look toward the sunrise", the freshness of beginnings and the reality of excellence.
