This is a lovely sphere is comprised of a silvery shimmering purple anhydrite amid chatoyant peach feldspar. It's a large sphere and as you turn it to different angles the feldspar sparkles with silver fire. It has a beautiful glow and energy. Its spirit is such that it allows one to look at life with acceptance for what it is. One must learn to gratefully accept all of the experiences that life has to offer. It will help us realize that we need to focus on the good things that happened and that the past should be left behind, carrying with us only wonderful memories.

Anhydrite literally means “without water” and chemically is related to angelite. The energy however is quite different, where angelite is soft and serene the purple anhydrite is much more lively, picking you up, yet not buzzing you off the planet. Many of the pieces have unusual combinations of mineral, including blue calcite, orange feldspar, black tourmaline and deep green epidote. Pieces with calcite help one keep balance on all levels especially the physical, smoothing energy to a nice even level over all chakras and the orange feldspar adds a depth emotionally balancing energy. Pieces with epidote help you break through blockages to enhance your spiritual growth, while pieces with black tourmaline keep you clear of negative energies while you work.

Anhydrite is the general term for the calcium based minerals that do not contain water. It can be clear, grey, blue, white and sometimes shades of purple. The blue variety is well known as angelite. Anhydrite is part of the gypsum family which includes the hydrated form (with water) known as selenite. Members of this family of minerals are excellent for moving energy and removing negativity. Anhydrite helps one through periods of change and acceptance of traveling in new directions. On a physical level anhydrite is said to reduce water retention and swelling.

Anhydrite facilitates strength on the physical plane and allows one to understand that the physical body is, in fact, transient. It aids in acceptance of both that which has past leaving the beauty of memories and that which may come tomorrow. It has also been used to help one develop stamina. It enhances understanding and communication.
