This is a very charming double terminated quartz crystal with a double terminated companions at its side. Hematite staining has given the the crystals a striped appearance in hues of red, black and purple, with iron adding some orange hues. This crystal is quite rugged, despite its bumps and bruises, it's still a beautiful crystal. The interior clarity is quite good throughout most of the crystal, giving it a glow in in low light. Veils and planes pick up the light and create dancing patterns of light within the crystal. It is a nice large crystal, almost the size of my fist, and is a nice one to hold. Don't let its appearance fool you, it is a wise spirit, with deep knowledge. There is plenty of self-healing with its intricate etchings, and several well defined record keepers on the faces. Multiple terminations are emerging from one end of the main crystal, facilitating the ability to reach higher planes of energy. However its main concentration is on the physical body facilitating paths to better health. One of its many roles is to help counter the ill effects of our stressful lives, especially high blood pressure and digestive disorders. This beautiful spirit is from Madagascar.

A crystal with a point at each end is called double terminated (DT). It is believed that they have the ability to receive or transmit energy from both ends. They are used for alignment, patience, perseverance, protection, dreaming, and astral projection. Double terminated crystals strengthen energy flow, and are especially useful when you need to share or exchange energy between you and another person. Double terminated crystals are very important to people doing healing work for themselves or others.

A crystal that has pyramidal or triangular shaped symbols that are either engraved into or are raised on one or more of a crystal faces is called a Record Keeper (RK) or Recorder. These symbols are not easily seen and usually need to be searched out by looking at the crystal in a bright light while closely examining the faces. It is believed that the Record Keeper is one of the most sacred crystals because it holds the wisdom and knowledge of the universe. When a person is properly attuned to a Record Keeper, this knowledge is readily made available. This knowledge is ancient knowledge and contains profound secrets and esoteric knowledge of the whole of the Higher Consciousness. It takes an open mind and a pure heart to access this knowledge.

A crystal is considered self healed when a partial piece of crystal or a complete crystal has sustained damage, yet continues to grow afterwards. Self-healing comes in many guises, usually where a crystal has been severed from its original growing condition, but can also occur where crystals have been bumped and bruised too. A self-healed crystal can be identified by the intricate etchings and/or multiple faces which emerge from the damaged areas. These crystals aid in any type of self-healing—physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual. Self-Healed crystals are highly compassionate with exceptional support for those working to overcome strong emotional issues or traumas. In addition they provide support when working to let go of negative addictions, be it a behavior, a person, or belief, food or chemical.

The etched quartz crystal can be recognized by the existence of abrasions upon the outer areas of the crystal. The abrasions appear to be a type of hieroglyphics. This formation has been used to facilitate contact and the transfer of information from the Ancient Egyptian civilizations and from Lemuria and Atlantis. The transliteration of the symbols brings information relevant to ones life at the time of translation. They were once used in the healing temples of the ancient civilizations and the markings also contain information of experiences in which they have participated. They also have contained information with respect to the healing methodology which has been proven successful over eons of time and throughout the universe. They have been accessed during the meditative state and have provided information concerning techniques utilized in the ancient civilizations of the Earth and of other locations in the universe.

Etched quartz is usually a personal meditation crystal. Meditation with the crystal is easily accomplished by placing the hieroglyphs upon the third-eye. Subsequent to placement, close the eyes, still and open the mind, initiate circular breathing, relax, and be prepared to receive the information.

Hematite is the common name for a wide array of iron oxides. Hematite itself has several varieties; the most common is hematite plates that form as a rose, and the massive botryoidal form which is usually polished into a wide array of shapes. Besides natural deposits of hematite, it can also be found included in dirt, clay or crystals, usually giving the material an orange to red coloration. Hematite is a supreme weapon against unionized radiation. It is recommended that you wear it in disk or pendant form against the skin when working on or around computers and such. It saturates your aura with an energy that repels radiation. You will find you have much more energy as a result. Hematite helps keep you grounded and in the here and now. Quartz has the ability to receive, store and send energy, this makes it a powerful manifestation tool.

Hold/gaze into the crystal, put your thought/need (what you wish to manifest) into the crystal, the crystal receives the thought (and the feeling behind the thought) then stores and transmits those thoughts and feelings into the ethers. Thus, even while you’re not thinking about that particular manifestation, the crystal is still putting it out. Thus drawing your manifestation towards you at a much greater rate than before. Power tools, you have to love ‘em!

Many refer to this process as programming; many books state that a crystal can hold only one program. They have just found a way to store terabytes of data into a single bubble that makes up the mist you see in the Quartz. My feeling is that Quartz crystals can in fact hold and run more programs than we could give in a life time! Quartz is one of the most flexible crystal tools around. It is very responsive to our intent, what you intend is what you get, to this point it is also one of the most powerful tools and should be treated as such.
