Interesting crystals with deep resonating energy have been emerging recently from Zomba, Malawi. The smoky quartz crystals are no exception. The smoky quartz from this locale is often paired with aegirine, but these crystals are beautiful all on their own. Smoky quartz has a sweetly grounding energy that is just right. It helps to keep you grounded when working with very high vibrational stones. Although very grounding, smoky quartz brings great joy as it surrounds you in a net of security. A crystal with a flattened tabular shape and two of its opposite sides are twice as wide, or more, than its other sides, giving the appearance of a tablet is called a Tabby crystal.
